TaskMenu Terms of Service

Last updated: May 6, 2026

TaskMenu is a free, open-source macOS menu bar app for managing Google Tasks. By using TaskMenu, you agree to these terms.

Use of TaskMenu

You may use TaskMenu to access and manage task lists in your own Google account. You are responsible for your use of TaskMenu and for complying with any terms that apply to your Google account and Google Tasks.

Google Account Access

TaskMenu uses Google OAuth to request access to Google Tasks. The app uses this access only to provide task management features, such as reading task lists, creating tasks, editing tasks, completing tasks, and deleting tasks.

You can revoke TaskMenu's access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

No Google Affiliation

TaskMenu is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Google. Google Tasks and Google OAuth are services provided by Google and are subject to Google's own terms and policies.

Privacy

TaskMenu's handling of Google user data is described in the TaskMenu Privacy Policy. TaskMenu does not operate a backend server, does not run ads, and does not use third-party analytics services.

Open Source License

TaskMenu is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0. You can review the source code at github.com/crazytan/TaskMenu.

Availability and Changes

TaskMenu is provided as a lightweight client for Google Tasks. Features may change over time, and some functionality depends on Google Tasks, Google OAuth, macOS, and network availability.

No Warranty

TaskMenu is provided "as is" and without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developers are not responsible for loss of data, interruption of service, or other damages arising from use of the app.
